This is rent money. Its quite a high pile of bills and adds up to be $700US. It takes 4 draws from the ATM to get enough to pay the rent. Mental note...I'm going to have to buy a bigger purse. There are no coins here. Sorry kids, I'll have to send you paper money for your coin collection school assignments. There are bills that add up to only a fraction of a US cent, several together make a penny. People here think its so much easier having only paper money. Not me!
Every denomination is a different size or color and I can't keep them straight. At night I have to organize my bills because if I go to the zaug (market, but not like a supermarket. That will have to be another post) the next day it takes so very long to pay for food and I have to go to several different vendors. Sometimes its easier to just hand them the wad of bills and let them take out how much it costs. Sigh...I just have to trust them.
